ELECTRONIC WASTE

The Program

E-waste generally refers to a broad category of electronic consumer products that are considered to be obsolete, unwanted and available for discard. This category typically encompasses computer equipment and peripherals, televisions, telephones and accessories, audio and video equipment. The purpose of the E-waste Roundup Program is to divert residential e-waste from landfill, enhance local e-waste infrastructure and management capacity and to ensure the responsible recycling of all waste material. E-waste collected under Manitoba's E-waste Roundup Program is currently sent for end-of-life processing at Global Electric and Electronic Processing (GEEP).
