MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Dear Friends:
This is an exciting time for Green Manitoba! The Special Operating Agency (SOA) is currently coordinating or supporting an array of successful programs and reaching out to people from across our province. We continue to explore new ideas and initiatives, identify and forge new partnerships, and work with the public and private sectors to build a sustainable future for Manitoba. In the last few years, we have made great strides towards improving the management of household hazardous waste and electronics, advancing composting in the province, piloting greening initiatives in government, and enhancing sustainability education in our schools.
As an Agency we continue to grow and evolve by building and strengthening new partnerships resulting in innovative programs aimed at shaping a cleaner and greener Manitoba.
I am grateful to our Board members for their guidance and support to the Agency. I would also like to express my appreciation for our dedicated staff and supportive senior management who have allowed us to explore new areas and strengthen our commitment to ongoing initiatives. We are also thankful to our valued partners from government, industry, education, and the non-profit sector for their continuous support and cooperation.
By bringing diverse parties together we are able to achieve so much more than if we each acted alone. We are at our best when bridges to new opportunities are being built.
