Recycle Everywhere is Canada’s first province-wide away from home beverage container recycling program. Recycle Everywhere has partnered with communities, schools, businesses, provincial parks, community centres and events throughout Manitoba to help choose the best Recycle Everywhere bin for the space free of charge. Together with their partners, they are reducing greenhouse gas emissions, enabling new products to be made and extending the life of Manitoba’s existing landfills.

 

The Canadian Beverage Container Recycling Association (CBCRA) implemented and operates the Recycle Everywhere program. Founded in 2010, CBCRA is a not-for-profit, industry-funded organization whose membership includes beverage brand owners and distributors. CBCRA is committed to reaching the government-mandated target of recovering 75% of beverage containers sold in Manitoba. We’re well on our way to achieving that goal. CBCRA is working to achieve a 75% recovery rate for beverage containers in Manitoba. CBCRA focuses on the recovery of beverage containers from all collection channels, both at home and away from home including Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (IC&I) spaces. Used beverage containers are valuable resources for making new products, e.g. T-shirts or carpet or new plastic bottles and aluminum cans.

All used, ready-to-serve sealed beverage containers, including beverage containers made of aluminum, glass and plastic beverage containers, PET, HDPE, cartons (juice boxes, and gable-top cartons).

CBCRA’s Recycle Everywhere Program provides municipal participants with collection bins for beverage container recycling throughout the community, at public spaces, IC&I locations and public events.

The program is funded through a Container Recycling Fee (CRF) paid by beverage distributors which share a commitment to increasing recycling rates in Manitoba.  Most beverage producers at their discretion pass on the CRF to retailers and most retailers pass the CRF on to consumers.
